Başar S. Yücel

Başar S. Yücel is a renowned figure, known for his expertise in guiding underperforming companies, their shareholders and executives, as the founder of Pergo. Yücel’s career spans over 30 years of high-level experience in banking, industry and consulting, starting with his banking career at Citibank N.A. He has held the position of Group CEO in the fields of restructuring and turnaround in Turkey, Europe and the Middle East. He provides consulting services to his clients on strategy, banking and corporate finance.


Yücel, graduated from Newcastle University (England) Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (B.Sc. Honours), completed his Master’s (MBA) education at Boğaziçi University. He is a senior member of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) organization and a member of IMD (Switzerland).
